Default Caliber of Play

I'm playing for the first time in a poker club in NYC tonight. Can anyone tell me if there is any differnce in the caliber of play between NYC clubs and AC, which is where I usually play. I would think the average player in one of these private games would be a better player than your normal AC player. Tell me if I'm wrong.
Thanks.

I would say on average, players in NYC clubs are better than players in AC (but not that much better). Also depends on the club, game, et al. I speak from my experience in various 1-2 NL, 2-5 NL as well as 4-8, 10-20, and 15-30 games played in NYC as well as in AC. Good luck.
