-determine if the last 3 weeks of winnings were a fluke by playing a lot more MTTs
-study poker at least 10 hours / week
-play at least 45 hours of poker / week
-make better hand decisions when my M is 5-10 (stop pushing A9s etc at M 7 )
-learn more from my fellow 2+2ers!
-find out if I am playing too tight in early stages and what are some more appropriate styles/ranges

sorry for the rambling!

55 hours a week for poker? Thats a little much, and you're brain will reach critical mass which will result in burn out quickly. Setting time restraints on time you HAVE to play poker will undoubtedly lead you to getting very sick of it as well as being very -EV, when you dont want to play you aren't getting the best of it. I think the only time setting time that you MUST play is good is when you are going it for a job and treating it like work, not a hobby, that is a BIG distinction.

Yeah maybe that is a bit aggressive. I'm without job until after March and I haven't really figured out what is a healthy amount of time to do this.. Any suggestions would be cool on what others have found to be a sane amount of time.

Thanks!
Aaron

1) get a seat to PCA (I've already booked a 10K seat to a tourney of my choice, but that doesn't really count - the wife doesn't want to go to Jersey or LA).
2) Final Table a tourney with a buyin of $200+.
3) Avoid the sessions at the cash games where I drop multiple buyins, negating days worth of effort.
4) Finish Christmas shopping prior to Christmas.

I don't ask for much of myself.

Didnt have november goals.

1.) Finish up finals strong (2 15+ page papers down, 2 to go on top of finals)
2.) 3 FTs
3.) Become more aware of table selection in limit cash games. (playing in a 10/20 rock fest lo8 can kill you when you arent paying attention.)
4.) Sat into sunday PS tournament 3 times.
5.) Cash in the ps sunday 200+15 at least once. (only played it once, bubbler. Got to start somewhere.)
6.) No more sessions of drunk 15/30, merely convincing myself that "the lineup looks good, and Im not that drunk" ([censored])
7.) Get the bankroll back up into 5 figures.
8.) Resteal more.
9.) Learn to value bet better.
10.) Play well in vegas (1st trip dec. 19th.)
