Default Too Weak 30/60 party

5-handed 30/60 on Party. Complete maniac on my left-- and not in a good way. He will bet at everything, though he slows down when he faces resistance. A couple of weak tight players on my right more than make up for being out of position against the maniac.

UTG I raise A-10 suited. Manaic 3-bets. BB flat calls. I call.

Flop: Rainbow J J 10. BB checks. I check. Maniac bets. BB folds. I call.

Turn: offsuite 6. I check, Maniac bets. I call.

River: offsuit 9. I check. Maniac checks behind.

Thoughts?

Were you planning on CR'ing the turn? I thought that's how we played maniacs. Let them bet for you, pump them for a value raise here and there. I'm why you wouldn't lead that river as well.

Definately check raise the turn. In fact, you could try a donk bet on the turn and hopes he raises. You missed probably 2 bets here.

if he didn't have anything he's not going to bet the river anyways, so you're going to miss out on your chance a good percentage of the time.

Sounds like your opponent is a good player, and is taking shots at you.

I would checkraise the flop, bet the turn, and call down if raised. Bet all the way if he calls. The plan to check raise the turn is foolish against good players.

Seems like the OP could differentiate between a good player and a maniac. No?

I dunno. Reading this:

Sounds like a devastating shorthanded, and probably full ring game player. Often, people have a hard time seeing when somebody is a great player, especially when they are on the receiving end of the beatings. Hero's best move is to change games.
