If he's LAG pre-flop, his limp probably means he doesn't have an ace.

You say he's passive post-flop. Is he a calling station or weak/tight? Against a weak/tight I like the turn bet, but against a calling station (someone who is going to showdown with any pair (including a 2), I check behind and hope to hit one of my 10 outs on the river.

River is fine, hopefully he didn't show you something like Q6o.

i'd limp pf and probably take my free card on the turn. I'd almost certainly check behind on the river

I agree 100 percent with balkii. Of all the plays I like raising pre-flop the least.

Yeah, the pf raise is not SOP for me. But I'm trying to find more places to raise pf.

For those of you who don't like the pf raise, would you like it more after 4 or 5 callers instead of 2? Is this a hand you raise from LP with zero callers or a lot but not a couple?

Also, he had a cheesy Ace and MHIB.

Preflop: I am not very aggressive so I don't like your rasie preflop with JTs. I'm not faulting your raise, it is just my style.

Flop: UTG checks (either he missed the flop completely or since you say he is loose, he may have Ax); MP2 checks (thinking he missed the flop);you bet which is good. You could win it right there or at least see where UTG and MP2 stand.

Turn:UTG checks (looking more and more like Ax to me)

Rive: UTG checks and calls. I'm thinking he has Ax and wins the pot.

Short answer. Yes.
I'm a newbie, but feel if I have 3/4 callers already, and the table is NOT overly tight, I'll raise. An awful lot does depend on the table though, but you definitely would like to end up w/a handful for this draw. Likewise w/medium/small pair hands.

I like question 2: Is this a hand you raise from LP with zero callers or a lot but not a couple?
I'll be interested to hear what people say as I don't know the answer myself.

Ok, I'm going to give myself a 2 (out of 5) for the pre-flop raise. A 5 for the flop bet. A 3 for the turn bet. And a 3 for the river bet. That's 13 out of 20 for a solid D. Send a PM if you are interested in staking me.
