Re: How much was your first deposit for?
I put $25 into Absolute Poker to fulfill the requirement of depositing at least $25 before you can cashout promotional dollars (I won a freeroll and turned that money into about $400). I withdrew the $25 plus the money I built-up as soon as possible and moved it to poker stars where I play most of the time. I've also spent some time with my bankroll at Ultimate Bet, Party Poker, Poker Room, and Pacific Poker (where it is now, building slowly).
So I would say I have deposited $0, though in reality I deposited $25 then withdrew it as soon as I could without playing a hand. |

Re: How much was your first deposit for?
Just a hobby for me.
$200 on Party a little over a year ago, lost it. $200 on Party a month later after I learnt me some things. No more deposits but I keep a 2000BB roll online and withdraw the rest. |

Re: How much was your first deposit for?
I was playing $10/20 for a living in Vegas when Planet Poker opened.
Deposited $200 and lost it the first day playing $2/4. Reviewed hand histories, fully expecting to find something very wrong but discovered that the game was simply much tighter than I had expected and that, unlike these days, none of the players had ever been caught bluffing. Deposited $300 more and did very well. Deposited $500 on Paradise Poker when it opened. Left Vegas (after 22 years) within a couple of months to live in the mountains. At each new site that I tried, I deposited $500 and ground up from $2/4 if they had any action worth staying for. Never played lower than $2/4. Except for the times I’ve made a rebuy only for the bonus money I’ve never put more than one $500 buy into a site. |

Re: How much was your first deposit for?
I'm definitely not a pro. Just a bit of an action junkie.
Started off play money at PokerRoom and Party. Then played a bunch of ESPN Club freerolls. A friend told me about bonus whoring and I decided to check it out. First 3 sites I tried were rejected by my credit card for being "Gaming transactions." Finally got accepted at Paradise for $200 with a 50% bonus. Got bored after a month and decided to try a new site. Still many, many credit card rejections before stumbling across Party. $200 with a 25% bonus. When I got my Paradise account up to $400, I checked out into Neteller and now have no problems signing up at new sites. I've been moving through the bonus lists and have now done the Cryptos, PokerStars, UB, and just got started on Full Tilt. |

Re: How much was your first deposit for?
$200 on PokerStars, but only after reading two books (WLLH and TOP). THe first time I won $25 in a $1 tournament I thought it was a huge deal.

Re: How much was your first deposit for?
$50 on Paradise at the end of 2001. I cashed out $100 the next day from the .50/$1 games which were the smallest offered at the time.

Re: How much was your first deposit for?
PokerRoom. Deposited $30 on three separate occasions over a one month period and busted out each time.
Decided that I really liked the game but I better figure out what the hell I'm doing or it is going to get expensive real fast. Read WLLH, followed by ITH and finally SSH came out. SSH improved my game immediately but took me three months to really *get* it. Deposited another 30 dollars and never looked back. Now I'm rockin' the MTT's and the 5/10. |
