You pay him off like an ATM. If he flinches at any point, bet.

Default Hello,Beer! FOLD! If u had him beat at this stage,

FOLDING is a small mistake. however , if he does have a set and u continue on,ur error would be MAJOR.

BTW,in my micro-limit games,I wouln't mind losing a few .25 just to see his hand.
However, when ur playing at 15/30 or higher,FOLDING in this case is USUALLY ur BEST option.

Default Results..

I folded. Bartholow claims he didn't have it. Personally, i think he had quads.

Sittingbull, when you read the opinions of Jeffage and Andy, do you still think that folding is the right play?

One reason why I think I should have called is cause bart is an observant player who knows I usually limp with live 3 flushes. Therefore, he may have been making a move to pick up a decent pot on fifth. And, he also knows I border on weak-tightness sometimes.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts.

I think you are overthinking things. I raised with a live 3-flush with a couple of big cards in this hand. I wasn't trying to bully you or anything, I just wanted to raise for the usual reasons (though on pacific you don't thin players much, but you do build nice pots). Then I hit another ace and that's an automatic bet. It's true that if you had called you wouldn't have gotten much action later probably...

No, if Bart doesn't have trips, then Beer would be making a big FTOP mistake by folding. If Bart has trips, Beer is about a 3:1 dog. If Bart has only two pair, however, Beer is a 3:1 favorite. If Bart started with a three-flush or AKQ or something, Beer is an even bigger favorite. I suspect that Bart's range of raising hands is sufficiently broad that Beer needs to call down.
