why not just put him all in, raise to 500? its the same thing. I don't see how you can fold after raising 1/3 of your stack, which is why raising to 300 is an awkward line, it leaves you with no plan if your reraised. if you just put him all in, its easy. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, if I get reraised, I am probably beat. I know that 680 really isn't a big stack to work with at 10-15 blinds, so I shouldn't try to save that. The raise to 300 had a chance to win pf, and if he called he was basically pot committed on the flop. |

If you didn't have top set, but a draw, would you have pushed (it's not likely that you would bet out with it, but this is hypothetical ).

[/ QUOTE ] No, I would push with a straight and that is about it. I thought, well he must have a set, openlimp and raise the 765 flop, I should fold. Then I said, well I can't fold a set. The when the turn card hit I thought, HAHAHAHA, I just 1 outed him. Then you 1 outed me. I can't remember a day when I would have lost quads twice in 1 day. |

Re: 2 hands from today (0 content)
if you get reraised, since that player is raising over two raisers, you are beat 90% of the time, which is why raising to 300 is not the best line, it opens you up to the painful decision. not that raising the first player is a bad idea, just 300 opens you up to this awkward situation and 500 is committing.

[ QUOTE ] Abel can't have 88 on Hand 1? [/ QUOTE ] He could have, but I don't think he would have raised the flop. I did bet into 4 people, so that shows some strengh I doubt he would want to get pushed into on the flop. [/ QUOTE ] Sounds good. I didn't see you bet into 4 people, but it makes perfect sense. |
