Re: Another 99 what to do preflop hand.
Call! Never fold a pocket after having a full small bet invested.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Table has VP$IP in the low 40s. Three players to my left are the main reason as they are all around 50% and cold calling raises often. UTG is 16/1/4.0 after 73 hands. Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls, Hero calls, MP1 raises, MP2 calls, MP3 3-bets, CO caps, 3 folds, UTG folds, Hero folds... [/ QUOTE ] hey. i call. i also raise preflop the first time especially given the description of the players to your left. [/ QUOTE ] I thought we raised 99 to shorten the field? If players are just going to coldcall, isn't limping correct here? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, maybe. I think raising is pretty boarderline here. TT looks like a good raise though. |

Re: Another 99 what to do preflop hand.
There are very few situations that would make me fold a PP pf after putting chips in the pot. This isn't one of them.

Re: Another 99 what to do preflop hand.
I think the call is fairly obvious. Whats more interesting is whether you should have raised it initially in the first place? What sort of hands are they ccing with? Your equity edge is likely not to be great if you can guarantee 4 or so CCs.... I still raise though, the book told me to =P

Re: Another 99 what to do preflop hand.
I would not fold a pp when I am already in for as little as one bet.
