How do you play bottom set on a monotone flop? Huge pot.
This hand turned out well for me but as part of my effort to not be results oriented... I want to learn how I could've played it better.
So here's the hand: 3/6 NL $600 (6-max) Stack sizes: UTG (1250) MP- (600) CO- Hero (555) Button (610) SB (610) BB (174) Hero has [3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]. PREFLOP: UTG folds, MP raises to 12, Hero calls 12, Button folds, SB raises to 44. BB calls 38, MP calls 38. Hero calls 28. POT: 180 FLOP: A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB checks, BB checks, MP bets 180, Hero raises to $555 and is all in. How bad of a play was this? How bad is calling that flop bet and raising on a turn blank? AKs escape cheaply if I raise now right? And analysing it now... he's only going to call with higher sets or made flushes. Thanks for your answers. |
