I have to agree with that, for me personally anyway, not sure how big a seller it has been over the years but it has everything we use today albiet in a non scientifically distilled manner.
Tells, card rating, judging your opponents, bluffing and a damn good set of stories to boot.

I can just picture myself sat at Monty's table watching by the flickering unshaded lightbulb, Yardley dealing and Monty slamming his right, fist full of dollars, onto the table, after standing pat while his opponents each drew three cards.

Sheer heaven.

It seems like Super Systems is the most influential, because just about everyone who plays poker regularly has heard of this book.

Theory of Poker is the most influential book of all time. Those who said the bible, the Tao Te Ching, Don Quixote, or the Republic by Plato are wrong. First off the Niv bible wasnt published until the late 60's.They stole ideas from a young sklansky. Not only does his book have his group of starting hands, it also has illustrious erotica for the intellectual mind that is capable of understanding my greatness.20 years from now, hold em poker will be regaurding as the real bible,
