Hitting on your opponents woman.....

I played in a free bar tournament tonight. 60 entrants, 1-3 places paid in gift certificates, and 1st gets seat @ final table after 10 weeks for a trip worth $3000. Most of the players were already drunk when the tourney started. Basically I made it to the final 5 and this one drunk douchebag that was sitting to my right kept calling my raises and making huge bets into me on the flop. His girlfriend was pretty hot and was crying for some attention. In an attempt to get this pscho-agressive mfer off my back, I invited his girl to sit on my lap and play my hole cards with me...... Was this a good idea?

No, but it's marginally funny. Doesn't seem like you needed to do anything to make him tilt off his chips, as he was doing it anyway.

Exactly. To play in a no-limit hold 'em tournament, you have to have a lot of courage (a.k.a. "heart") to make brilliant moves like that...At least from what I see on the TV.

Personally, I'd mix it up with some nasty "yo momma so blank" jokes, wardrobe jokes, bad dental hygiene comments, and the like. You don't want to become too predictable so your opponents can tell what you're going to say. Try to get creative. Hopefully, you're opponent will tighten up a bit and respect your bets more.

generally looking the part will get you across the line, i couldnt fight my way out of a paper bag, but i look pretty tough and have never had a problem.

Generally if somebody wants to belt the crap out of the biggest meanest looking guy, he can probably do it. Then were in trouble
