It took like an hour, and they told me since mine shipped yesterday that they couldn't apply the coupon and it was a lost cause. I told them I could and would refuse shipment and just cancel my order and buy a new one. She then said "the best she could do would be giving me $50 credit" on my purchase. While I am sure she could have done more, I had been on the damn phone for an hour and was getting sick of dealing with those people, especially since sitting there was wasted time when could have been playing. Bottom line - mine will arrive tomorrow for total of $550. Not too bad, but certainly not the 500 I would have liked. Oh well, win some, lose some.

Definitely worth calling to harass them though. And go directly to customer support, not the order changes department. And try telling them that you know someone who was just credited $75 for this same situation. See if you can get that extra $25. Good luck.

im in the same boat as you guys. i ordered mine a few days ago and it hasnt even been shipped yet. i just got off the phone with "andy" from dell and after about 10 mins he figured out that i cannot apply the coupon on an order already made but suggested i use it for another purchase. anyways i had him cancel my order and am reordering with the coupon now. seems like it would be easier for both parties if they would just fix it...bastards.
