I agree about Robin Williams. Lately though, he seems to have lost his edge..

When he was young I always thought he was a little too fruity, kinda like Billy Crystal & Tom Hanks. He just annoyed me. I like him much better now, Hanks too. Crystal is still too fruity.

Robin Williams is to comedy what Jay Buhner is to baseball....an analogy that is probably lost with most people

and George to Kramer(let the flames begin).

no comment.

you have to seriously question the intelligence of any man who thinks kramer (even though he is ridiculously funny and good in the show) is a funnier character than george.

I always preferred ... George to Kramer

The funniest character on Seinfeld was Frank Costanza and it isn't even close.

i could see this, but george is more of an "every show" character.

Kramer on Seinfeld
Jim Ignatowksi on Taxi
Latke Gravas on Taxi
Archie Bunker on All in the Family

Great choices, I would like to add George Kastanza from Seinfeld, I always thought he carried the show.

George Costanza is probably the funniest character in the history of television. A close second is Homer Simpson.

He definitely had the funniest line. When Steinbrenner comes to tell him that George has died, he's silent for a few seconds and then blurts out, "How could you trade Jay Buhner!"
