I usually fold when there's three or more of my suit out unless I have big cards to back it up or I'm also open ended. Not sure if this is correct since I'm new to stud, does this sound right BeerMoney?

This is correct, if there are more then 2 of my suit out I tend to fold actually.

I generally only play a 3-flush when there are 2 or fewer dead of my suit. I'm just not sure if having a 3-straight flush with a deadish flush part is playable

Yeah I think you should fold 3rd street here.. Even if you had 3 straight flush cards (789 for instance), it would be very marginal.

Jon, I usually only play 3 str8's with one or 0 of my suit out. IF there's two, i look for an additional reason to call like, high cards, or str8 potential.

Nuthin' like live cards.

With the cards that are out this is probably playable. If someone had an ace or king I would muck unless i was in late position.
