Default Best time to leave table

Is it best to leave a NL table after you reach 3 or 4 times buy-in, or should you continue playing with a large stack?

An argument for staying is obviously your ablility to push other stacks around.

But an arguement could be made in favor of leaving so as to not put your large stack at risk to a bad beat against another mid size stack.

I guess the decision is whether their is much more equity gained by keeping all of your chips out.

Only time to leave is when you feel it's now -EV (game no longer good...)

or

You had something else planned...

Otherwise, I leave:

When my yawn count is way too high.

This reason doesnt hold water in a cash game.

While there isn't the pressure of increasing blinds in a cash game, a large stack does have the psychological edge.

I find that often times if you are the big stack at a table and you are agressive, you will tend to cause short stacks to fold to a scare card.

You should never leave if you're doing well unless you are fatigued. People just play much better when they're winning than when they're losign.

Other people also notice you're doing and playing well. And a big stack can push around the smaller guys, but I doubt it'd have the desired effect as a cash game player can just rebuy.

if your winning, why leave??
obviously somethings working.. either the cards or the players and positioning around you? unless you got real lucky to get that stack i dont see why u would leave until u stopped winning, unless u dont trust urself to not go pissin it away

you should only leave the table when you feel there is not very much dead money left. i like having a big stack so i can double up off of the maniacs, and i will stay as long as there are maniacs with money.

You're incorrect. There is a clear inherent advantage of having more chips than allowed for the buy-in. It's not as inherent as tourney play but it's definitely a bonus.
