Re: Am I completely nuts?
I think you are better off than the average senior.
I am 19 years old, and a university sophomore. I spend carelessley spend my money on things I do not need. I desperately need a nicer desk, but instead buy DVDs and CDs. I pissed away what would be a large bankroll because my expenses are just so large and I am constantly having to pay off my credit card in the hundreds at least once a month. I suggest saving some money and looking into investments for your future. I myself will take a plunge into the stock market in 5 or 6 months. I want to buy a car but saving up for it is too much of a hassle for me. I also would suggest finding you are passionate about before you go to any post-secondary institution. It is important to not end up in a program that you do not enjoy. I, myself do not like the program I am in (Mechanical Engineering) and only chose it because the idiot counselors at my high school told me to go with whatever I am good at. Re: Am I completely nuts?
Your spending habits seem fine. Don't feel like you have to partake in the screwed up consumer culture the businesses are slinging.
What you might want to look for is some more socialization time. Seems like you're already in a rut - a profitable rut, but a rut just the same. |
