What would you do?
What would you do? No limit, blinds 5-10, everyone starts with 100. From middle position, I have AA. I raise to 30, all fold except BB, he just calls. Flop comes Q 10 4 rainbow. BB goes all-in. What would you do? Call or fold?

Re: What would you do?
I would call. He probably just has top pair weak kicker or maybe some sort of straight draw and wants to push you out.
Just one question. Why are the blinds so high with so little chips? |

Re: What would you do?
That is a good question. One I have asked. These guys play it like a tournament, once chips are gone you are done. They think having the blinds this high speeds it up, in order to get in 5-6 games like this in a night. I don't really like it, seems like luck is too much of a factor.

Re: What would you do?
You suspect a set of 10's, don't you?
I'd call. |

Re: What would you do?
If you suspect a set of 10's, why would you call? You would have to catch one of the two remaining Aces or maybe runner-runner for the straight...

Re: What would you do?
If you want to a play a tournament in a sane manner, nix this chip and blind structure. If guys don't want to sit around after getting knocked out (is that one of the big arguments for this structure?), tell them don't get knocked out... or just play cash games

Re: What would you do?
I don't suspect a set, but I imagine that you do.
If he had a set of 10's wouldn't he give you a chance to bet at it and raise all-in? That would make more sense. |

Re: What would you do?
With the blinds this high and the pot being worth more than 60% your initial stack folding would be insane.

Re: What would you do?
If youre playing with guys who like this structure, they obviously dont have a clue. I would just push in preflop.
And I would do it with alot of hands. |
