Yeah, i actually kind of hate playing these baby pairs from the CO. I've been doing it because I thought it was profitable and my aversions to it were personal.

I do muck these turkeys when I figure to be coldcalled by the button > a fair percentage (maybe 1/3 of the time or more).

Looking at my tiny PT DB, i'm losing with 44 on down when raising first in with a chance to steal. Maybe it's time to change the gameplan (and simply my existence) [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

okay, calling the river seems right. there are a lot of hands the donk could have that he was calling with, gutshot + overcard combos and what not that do not have an ace in them that he could be betting. it also makes it less likely he has a small pair since he would probably check-call with those hands rather than bet at the ace. the pot is 9 bets so calling the river has to be right, you guys are right.

I'm surprised you didn't hate the flop. I'm not sure what I think but I assumed you would let out a deep sigh and think to yourself "maybe one day they'll listen to me"
