Pacific's New software problem

Can someone help me because the support sure hasn't.

I upgraded to their new software and immediately everything ran slow. I contacted them they are aware of the problem and told me to uninstall the new and reinstall the old version. I did this and the old version now runs slow. When I say slow I mean unable to play because by the time the post or wait for BB buttons come on the screen it's to late by seat says sitting out.
Another call to support says try to download when turning anti virus software off. tried it to no avail.

Now they say to open ceriain ports on the firewall. I use norton for the firewall but I have no clue how to do this.

Can someone please help or if anyone else had this problen with pacific what cured it.
