Yeah, I had a pretty bad run yesterday, everytime I went in with the best of it, I got outdrawn, but got a couple firsts to save the day.

Then made $5000 for my 2nd in the $50 large caps multi table.

For instance, two ace high flushs vs straight flushs (third this week), then my AA gets outdrawn my a6 offsuit with a flush.

I actually really appreciate your post Daliman. My own results have been equally miserable weekend. Glad to see it happens to us all. First time that I've actually been angry at the consistant bad beats.

Better luck tomorrow.

I agree, had some pretty poor beats in the STEPS malarky as well, I think I won't bother with those anymore.

By the way, just curious, why the raise with AQo from 5th seat first hand? Surely it's just a limp from there?

There's a difference between a "I'm about to throw my computer out the window, I'm getting lots of bad beats tonight," post and one that purports to be a strategy post, but is nothing than a bad beat post in disguise.

I'm not condoning the first, b/c this forum could just turn into a bad beat story-fest. But under 2+2 common law, the former is not as severe a crime as the later.

Plus, one's "prior record" gets taken into consideration as well in these things.

throw their computer out the window and somebody else chooses to disguise it as a strategy post in disguise. the fact that you're trying to disregard Daliman's thread because of this lame @ss difference excuse means CONDONING his thread is exactly what you're trying to do. that's a f#cking crock of sh#t! there's no such thing as a freakin' 2+2 COMMON LAW. that's some crap rule y'all created. there's nothing written in any forum rules condemning bad beat threads. don't give me any sh#t about, "plus, one's "prior record" gets taken into consideration". that's clear bias, bruh. if Y'ALL got a problem with bad beat threads on 2+2, then it needs to be policed against EVERYBODY, does'nt matter if they play $5.50 SNGs or $215s. one's "prior record" should'nt have anything to do with it. if you're gonna let Daliman slide on it, then y'all should keep you're mouths shut when some clueless yockel playing $5+ $1s on Party does the same thing.

There is such a thing as 2+2 common law, or ettiquette would be a better word. You saying there isn't is like someone denying that posting in all caps is frowned upon. It probably isn't written down anywhere but it's true just the same.

When you see a thread titled "How my night is going in a nutshell" it's pretty clear what the content is going to be. You can avoid it if you aren't interested. Also Daliman doesn't usually post this rubbish and posts a lot so an occasional lapse is forgivable. Even so you'll notice me and Gramps gently taking him to task further up the thread. If he posts another of these threads in a week's time I'll be the first to tell him to shut up.

I had the most amazing death I've ever seen last night. I was playing 6 $55's. In less than 2 min, and 3 hands were simultainious, I had AK with a floped Axx vs. QQ all in on the flop, KK vs. QQ all in preflop, KK vs. QQ all in preflop, KK vs. JJ all in preflop. LOST THEM ALL!!! I can't even figure the odds of having KK on 3 tables at once, much less being out drawn with my 90%, 80%, 80%, 80% win chances. I just hope it's rare enough I never have to see it again in my lifetime. I was stunned. Lost the other 2 also. All in all, down 20+ buy-ins, for my worst streak ever. Ugh!

You are exactly right here Desdia. And yes, I'm sure people will rationalize that it is ok because Daliman is a respected player here.

Personally I respect Daliman's game and have learned a lot from him. I was thinking as I read his post that it was a bad beat post and found it ironic that it wasn't flammed. However, It is good to know that the same bad streaks that happen to me also happen to good players.

So there is a double standard. That's life. There are double standards everywhere. There is no way you or anyone else is going to change the way it is. I do find it funny that you called him on it. I smiled when I read your post. Other than that, I don't really care.
