Default what to expect in wcoop event #5 (215+rebuys)

this is not meant to the "official" thread. i haven't even decided if i'm gonna play - might just take a nap instead lol.

so how much are the chips gonna be flying around the first hour? i don't think there are many players that can afford to burn through 1-2 grand in one tourney. there are already nearly 1500 registered (still an hour to go) - do you think there will be a lot of players just buying in and not doing any rebuy/add-on?

if i play, i'm at least gonna rebuy once at the beginning and add-on, and possibly rebuy twice more if i bust early.

you will be able to get a better grasp when you sit down

naturally if people aren't rebuying immediately, they are less likely to be throwing the chips around

If the whole table rebuys, you probably should expect a few fireworks

Let your strategy be dependant on the table you draw, as thats going to be the deciding factor.

Since the levels are 30 minutes long, the last level before the rebuy ends is only level 2 which makes it a little more difficult to go crazy. I expect to make 1 or 2 rebuys in addition to the add on.

If you ever play the 250+20 empire monthly rebuy I imagine it will be like that. Many sat qualifiers will not rebuy or addon but you could easily be at a table with some crazy action, trust me you'll figure it out pretty quick.

last year there wasnt very much crazy action, partially because not a lot of people want to sink more than a grand into the tourney, and partially because the blinds are so small compared to stack size during the rebuy period.

im planning to at least take an initial rebuy and do the addon but i have no plans for crazy play in the first hour... obviously if i somehow go broke ill rebuy though.
