Default AJs multi-way

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 raises, 1 fold, MP1 calls, Hero calls, MP3 3-bets, 3 folds, BB calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (15.40 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, Hero checks, MP3 bets, BB calls, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls, Hero calls.

MP3 is decent and would most likley only 3 bet with AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, AK or AKs, KQs. The pot is large giving me 20 to 1 to take off a card. I guess I am hoping for an A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or an A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. A non-[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T would also give me a backdoor gutshot if it was followed by a K on the river, but a 9 on the river is no good. There is no chance of a raise, so I take off another card.

I think this is ok especially since I am effectively last to act. I thought about betting out to get MP3 to raise and increase my chances of winning, but I don't think it will get anyone to fold and it just costs me more.

Turn: (9.70 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, MP1 checks, Hero checks, MP3 bets, BB calls, MP1 calls, Hero folds.

I think this is a pretty clear fold getting only 13 to 1.

River: (12.70 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB bets, MP1 calls, MP3 raises, BB calls, MP1 calls.

Final Pot: 18.70 BB

I hate the preflop cold call. You're better off re-raising.

I agree preflop.

But does anyone here think his outs are not that good? I mean u could say he has at most 3 outs, but Im thinking more like 1.25-2 (2 clean aces and the BD straight) but with the possible flush draw out there, etc.

The pot is big though and he does have enought to take one of, or just barely...oui, Id probably call and fold the turn unimproved.

Pre-flop CC is not good. 3-bet/fold, IMO.
I'd fold the flop too. It's got nothing for you. Cut your loses.

If UTG+1 is a tight raiser, he has what? AA-TT AKs-AJs; AK-AQ; KQs. If those are his raising standards UTG, you should go running to mama with AJs. If he's a pretty loose raiser he's likely raising: AA-77; AKs-A9s; AK-AT; KQs-KTs; KQ-KJ; QJs; and likely worse. You now have most of the hands he's raising with tied or killed. So calling would be horrible.
