Should I have 3bet PF? I was OOP throughout the hand which is why I didnt I c/r the flop since his high PFR meant that it wasnt necessarily a PP or AK which were all that beat me. I carried on betting the turn to try and take down the pot. Was going to fold to a raise at any time (easy given his aggression). Check/fold turn? river? |

Re: AQ hand, keep bluffing?
Why checkraise this flop? It's not like he tried to steal. He has some sort of premium hand, and with that flop will probably peel pretty much anything.

Re: AQ hand, keep bluffing?
I would have 3-bet preflop and then led the flop..

[ QUOTE ]
Why checkraise this flop? [/ QUOTE ] Hero check raises this flop because he's ahead of villain's range of hands. [ QUOTE ] with that flop will probably peel pretty much anything. [/ QUOTE ] If villain is behind, he likely has some Ax or Kx hand and we want him to peel. |

Re: AQ hand, keep bluffing?
I'd 3 bet pre-flop and lead the flop.
Given that you just called, I like the checkraise and I would bet the turn and river for value. Villain did not raise you after the flop so it is likely you have the best hand. It's possible that villain has a small pocket pair and he is worried that he is beat. But the overcards are wore likely. After villain called the turn, it is more likely that he has a pocket pair but far from guaranteed since many unknowns would call down with A high on this board. So you have to bet the river since you are out of position, and if you check he will likely check a weaker Ace, and bet a pocket pair. If you bet he will often call you with a weaker Ace. |
