Shouldn't this be a 3-bet if you're going to play?

I don't like the river bet as you can't fold to a raise. I would check/call and expect to win a lot of the time here.

I didn't expect him to bet alot of the hands I had beat, but he might call a donkbet with something ragged.

To get the BB out of the hand.

EDIT: Since the multiway benefits of your hand have been lessened a bit, because it's going to be 3-way or HU. One pair will do better against 2 players than 3 I would imagine.

I thought it'd be nice he stayed around. CO is gonna be really unhappy to get called in two places here if he's holding some junk like Q8o, and JTs is happy 3way.

edit: I should clarify. I don't mind if BB stays around, but I prefer it HU. I don't wanna 3-bet and have it capped though, so all the factors seem to point toward just calling.

I don't like a line here that causes you to potentially have to call a raise on the river with a worse hand. I think the potential for him to continue betting with a worse hand is comparable to the likelihood that he will call a donkbet with rags; however, with check/call, you avoid a raise which I like better.

If you didn't want to lay down to a river raise, why not just check/call. What hands that he raises on the river are you ahead of???
