Since you asked:

Compare your WR in the SB with your WR in the BB. See how you're doing better in the BB even though you're putting in more dead money preflop? Obviously this shouldn't be the case. This is just one simple way you can see that you need many many more hands for your results to be even close to accurate.

I've played another 3,000 hands at full table averaging 20% vpip. After an initial upswing, I ended up in a steady decline...

After having to make my second $50 deposit, I broke down and am now playing 70% VPIP and 33% PFR. This is what a fat person must feel like when the starvation diet fails... I'll eventually go back to my lower numbers... maybe even 20% again... as soon as I recover my $100 lost playing "correctly"...

Dude...seriously...DONT DO IT!

Playing with stats like you will lose all your money, good for you opponents...bad for you.

Go back to playing 30/20...please?

Keep playing 45/19 and let us know how you are doing after 40K hands. I'm skeptical but curious to see how loose one can play and still make money. If you are playing at a very loose table (say, 70% vpip) then your strategy may have some value if you play postflop well enough. You are taking your hand to showdown far too often, though.

Wow, 900 hands. I guess that's definitive proof that 70/30 is optimal. Well done, sir.

Ok. I did it. I played 1,050 hands and managed VPIP of 30%. My BB/100 came out 25% less- I'll play another 5,000 to compare results with my previous play. One thing I noticed was that I became more passive... I'll try to increase my pre-flop raising.

If you had played 100,000 hands with 30% VPIP, it would probably still not be that useful to compare it to another 100,000 hand sample. After 1,000 (or 5k, or even 25k) such comparisons are actually useless. I don't mean "they may not reflect your true results," I mean "this comparison will not EVER reflect your true winrates, except as often as it would randomly do so." You do not seem to understand variance very well.

Keep playing 70/30 and tell me your username/site please.

NOTE: You can not do one and other, you must do both. Other option is to reduce your VPIP to a reasonable 20 - 30 and pfr to 10 - 20(Wide ranges as you seem to enjoy lagging it up).

I like this thread. It's like a social experiment from the LAG point of view.
