Default Re: Challenge to Sklansky lovers

[ QUOTE ]
David is too afraid to play Daniel because he knows he's not a favorite. Thats all there is to it. How they handle their money isn't any of our business.

Are you forgetting what board you're on?

Do you understand that there are more costs than the expectation of winning or losing a buyin in this game? There are metagame considerations and incidental costs which also affect that profitability of this highly unique match.

David made it quite clear that he had not thought this aspect of the match through and, after drawing these conclusions and engaging in some silly meat-flailing, withdrew for this and other reasons. The assumption that any one of these factors is the sole reason for his eventual decision is rather ignorant.

On a related note.. I would honestly like to see someone like Prahlad Friedman or Mike Mizrachi take Dan on.. Maybe we can arrange some sort of staking agreement with one of the more respected internet high-limit players.

I'm interested to see when this story starts making serious press and how it will be marketed. There is no way Wynn is paying Daniel just to bring in a trickle of kibitzing poker enthusiasts who will spend the majority of their time watching the game or playing in the least profitable floorspace of the casino. Expect the LVJR, sun, etc., to pimp this pretty hardcore.
