Default Hand Advice

I feel like I shouldn't have tried so hard to trap and just been happy with the pot early. Please advise.

Bet the flop. You don't want the guy with the straight draw to see his free card. It doesn't have to be a big bet, just large enough to deny him odds to draw to a gutshot and build a pot. So like t250. Maybe a little more if they buyin is lower and you think he might have KQ after the preflop action.

Bet the flop. And the turn. And the river.

Doubt he's holding AK since you have 2 aces already.

Well, he did have AK, but that is besides the point [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]. Not knowing what he had, I think I should have bet at least the turn.

NOT knowing what he had, you have to bet. That passive play deserved to get beat.

Since when is one pair a slowplaying hand? Ok, you only have one opponent to beat but the flop is pretty coordinated and the pot is big compared to your stack. Bet this on the flop or at least on the turn.
