Default 9h7c in SB on PP ???

Paradise: $1/$2

I'm in the small blind w/ 9h7c - I complete behind 3 limpers. 5 players see the FLOP: [ 9c 7s Th ].

I bet - only 2 of the limpers call. The TURN: [ 9c 7s Th ] [ 4d ]. I bet - they both call.

The RIVER: [ 9c 7s Th 4d ] [ 4s ]. Now what ? Would you bet the river ? I did ...

Any comments appreciated !

Thanks, BB King's ... formerly known as the pokerplayer formerly known as Jack

I don't think you are automatically ahead at this point. Often a smaller pocket pair will just call (99/TT) as they want to show down their hand. Also if they have AA or KK they may be waiting til the turn to raise. I'd bet out like you did and be thankful to take down the pot unimproved.

Hi BB King's,

The problem here is that you just got counterfeited and any ratty ten beats you. You also lost to somebody holding onto a four for some reason. I think that you just check and call, but I wouldn't overcall.

Good Luck,
Play Well,

Bob T.

Bizzarre. That reply was meant for another post.

BTW I agree with the other reply. I would check the river as you are likely to get called only by a hand that beats you at this point.
