Precisely at what M do you think you need to calm down?

Sorry Gavin, couldn't resist.

btw, what does a person do here (don't think concept is discussed in HOH). That is, my stack is decent size compared to others but my M is low. Should I be behaving in a red zone-ish manner?

That issue is absolutely discussed in HOH2. What do you think you should do in that situation?

Please see the post by 2005 made earlier today on the "M" concept.

The jist of it is, especially if it isn't a satellite tournament, that M is far more valuable than Q. Just recite the alphabet - M comes before Q. Do you see why?

In all seriousness, the reason we're concerned about our M here is that even though there are short stacks, we're going to become *very* short very quickly because of the rising blinds and antes. Sitting tight and waiting around for the shortstacks to either bust out and move up a weak payout, or steal our antes and quickly gain on our chip lead is arguably incorrect.

Don't get too calm here, PP's payout structure is usually VERY flat from 30th up to 11th.
