Default pokerstars pokertracker and hotmail

anyone know how to make this combination work. i had my hand history mailed to me and then did file - save as - and then saved as a text file. when i try to import the text file in pokertracker it gives me an error message. id greatly appreciate any help. thanks.

EDIT: I thought you were attempting to import directly from email. In any case, this is good advice I think.

You need a POP3 address, and I don't think hotmail allows you to do this. I figured out a better way to do it via Yahoo though.

I found a program called "YahooPOPs" that basically allows you to use POP3 (and thus pokertracker auto-import) via your yahoo address. It's incredibly easy and works great. I don't know if similar programs exist for hotmail, but I'd definitely recommend this method.

I had to do this for a while. Look at the pokertracker help files. You need to change the line width in hotmail to 132 or something, I don't exactly remember. But it's all in the PT help files.
