Default Celebrity Poker, stupid question...

...ok, so maybe this is lame, but I just watched Celebrity Poker (11/10 10 p.m. eastern), and I swear the HU play was good. Really good, even.

Is this the norm?

I loooove watching all poker, but I won't waste 15 seconds watching "Celebrites" play poker. They are going to ruin it like they did with "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire." Jennifer Tilly, Tobey Maqurie: I don't mind. They earn their stripes. But placing a couple of B-list actors on a freeroll isn't entertainment, IMO.

Celebrity Poker is one of the few, if only, regular poker shows that have actual post flop play, its rarely good post flop play, but play just the same, good for figuring what not to do. Plus, Phil Gordon does some very good commentary for the game, he does an excellent job of explaining what you should be doing in the situations and why. Its not the greatest show in the world, but its decent entertainment.

If you are watching Celebrity Poker, an intervention may be needed. Perhaps the play is getting better from the first season, but I would love to sit in on a real cash game with them.

You're going to miss Gordon, because I've read that he's leaving CPS after this season. Would love to see who they stick into the analyst slot, according to this interview.

Eddie Cibrian from Tilt would mess you up! Partly kidding, but his play was solid, mostly beyond reproach.

The last two episodes had surprisingly good heads up play. This is not the norm. But, it does make me look forward to the championship next week.

If you're playing well but running bad, it can be good therapy.
