Default Hawaiian Gardens or Crystal Park - Any Good??

Ok, so after 2 trips to Commerce, my buddy and I are hooked on B&M's...haha. Anyways, we live in Newport Beach/Huntington and I think Hawaiian Gardens is pretty close to us, with Crystal Park a bit farther, I think both are closer than Commerce though.

Any experience with either of these? We'd be playing lower limits, like $4/8 or so, if that helps.

Also, who spreads a good, cheap NL tourny in the LA area? My buddy is more comfortable in a tourny environment and it'd be nice to know.

Thanks,
Brandin

HG is alright. Plenty of low limit. They have low buy in tournaments.

CP ain't worth the drive.

You may also want to check out Hustler. Nice low limit card room.

Don't expect as much action as Commerce. Commerce is da bomb.

BTW, the $100 +25 buy in tournaments running every weeknight at Bicycle Casino had a lot more play than I thought. I think blinds when I got to the final table were T150-300 with T25 ante and I was second in chips with about T5800. Even the shortest stack still had T2500 or so, so there was some play at the final table of this low buy in tournament. If they continue to run these, these tournaments are a lot better than the stupid $20 + unlimited rebuy crap shoots that they used to have.

HG is huge with plenty of low limit games. They now have a 4/8 half-kill as well as full kill. They also have great bad beat jackpots between certain hours.
They have good food, decent servers and nice staff.

You ahould find plenty of 4/8 at HG. The food is also good. Try a Vietnamese sandwhich for $1.75 or the Ahi Tuna salad if you want to splurg (this is almost raw tuna sort of seared on the outside).

Even though HG is a giant Circus tent...I like it there...

Crystal Park-Unless you are looking for $10 crack hookers...just drive by.

Hustler Casino is really nice- they have a good 15-30 game there.

Actually I suggest you should walk into crystal park just once just to see the 1 table going. Just dont eat the food and make sure you dont get shot.
