Re: Peter Rus bb hands
[ QUOTE ]
I 8 table, it's really easy once I turn off AIM and stuff [/ QUOTE ] Holy crap! Chalk up on in the plus column for ADD I guess . I have trouble beyond 2 SH tables. Even 2 leaves me short changing reads with any distractions when I'm playing on UB as the hands play faster. 8 short handed tables, must take the mental reflexes and stamina of a god. And not one of those wimpy minor gods, but on the level of an Ares or Athena. |

Re: Peter Rus bb hands
Would you say youve tightened up overall here, or substituted hands? Would you care to share your thoughts on your revised ranges? Either from a generalistic view or more detailed, depending on your mood? Or if you have a more recent post that addresses this already, do you have a link to that?

Re: Peter Rus bb hands
If u are good enough to play this loose in BB u are also good enough to understand that what u defend with is a lot dependent on what range the other one is raising with and how good he is postflop.
Some guys raise T2s first in on button, some guys fold J8s, some guys call Axo first in (because its not good enough for a raise I love that argument, lol) And they all play different postflop. U cant play them the same. Always defending with same range of hands is a much bigger problem then not wanting to add one or two more hands to your blinddefense that others say are good. Difference between decent and good often is the ability to leave the charts behind and adapt to the game u actually are playing in. |

Re: Peter Rus bb hands
You say you've changed your defense ranges a lot, is this because you've moved up in limits? Would you still suggest these for 5/10 short?

Re: Peter Rus bb hands
Also, are your improvements to make the range tighter?

Re: Peter Rus bb hands
I re-consider my view on blind defense. Approach you mention was too rough. I'm more selective and read-based with my defence HU for now. I'm extremely loose against SB-raises and steal raises from aggro-ones and more tight against raisers further than CO. And i'm more loose 3-way+ currently.

Re: Peter Rus bb hands
Against an SB raise, I think you can defend with nearly any two. Against button raise, I am very loose too. I defend with probably my top 80% or 70%. Against a raise from anywhere else, I tighten up considerably.

Re: Peter Rus bb hands
Peter would you mind posting your range for 3+?
