A question regarding spread limit and online stud
I rarely play stud live or online. The only stud I've ever played in a B&M is the $1-$5 spread limit stuff with no antes and a $1 bring-in that attracts crusty chain-smoking old rocks who get pissed if you bet the max before 7th street.
I was just curious why I've never seen a similar structure for online stud (i.e. I've never seen something like a $0.10-$0.50 spread limit w/o antes). Is there a good reason ? I'm looking for something more profound than "1-5 sux"; I already know that |

I don't know honestly. I would like to see some more of that. One reason might be that it probably breaks the fish too quick.

While spread limit is not really a big-bet structure, it is bigger than regular limit games, and as everyone knows, as the limits move up (or betting expands), fish break faster. |

i would like to see it go the other way and have 2/4 and 3/6 stud in the casino with an online structure.

Crusty, chain-smoking old rocks tend not to be computer-literate.

Re: A question regarding spread limit and online stud
1-5 stud generates small pots and no action and most people find it extremely boring. Small pots=small rake for the sites. Oh yea, and 1-5 sucks.

I saw a spread-limit game online not too long ago. Wonder where that was...
