Converter Question for Greenage or grb
Is there a way to have a box below the input box for viewing the converted hand as it would appear on the forum? I would like to review some hand histories without necessarily posting them to 2+2, like the last hours hands sometimes. What about being able to print the output?

If nothing else, you can use the forum to preview the output and then simply not post it.
I have the impression that some folks aren't aware that you can preview your posts. |

Re: Converter Question for Greenage or grb
Personally, I do what Andy B suggested. I start a new post or a reply to any old post and preview it. When I’m finished, I click the browsers’ “Back” button or click one of the links to get out of it.
Using this technique, you can also print the formatted hand: While previewing the post, highlight just the hand itself. Right-click and then click “Print”. When the Print dialog box appears, click “Selection” under “Page Range”. This will print “only” the formatted hand. The only way I can think of to provide a formatted hand in the converter is to do it as HTML. That’s easy enough, but I’d have to have these gif files [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in my directory and that would probably violate someone’s copyright, so I won’t go there. |
