Default AQs aka DRUGS IS BAD

Actually I just wish I was on drugs, it would have made this make more sense.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Dids is MP1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 raises, UTG+2 calls, Dids calls, 1 fold, MP3 calls, 3 folds, BB calls.

Umm... yeah. AQs is pretty, but for some reason it wasn't 3-bet pretty. This feels exceptionally dumb, 'cause if I 3-bet the rest of the hand is much easier.

Flop: (10.50 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 bets, UTG+2 calls, Dids raises, MP3 calls, BB folds, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls.

Turn: (9.25 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 checks, Dids bets, MP3 calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls.

River: (13.25 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 checks, Dids checks, MP3 bets, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 raises, Dids folds, MP3 calls.

Without the information I would have gained with my preflop 3-bet, checking this river feels week, BUT this many people and all the draws that just got there, betting feels like spraying chips.

Final Pot: 17.25 BB

3-betting preflop is an option, but I don't think the cold-call is so bad.

The flop and turn look good to me.

I probably would have bet/folded the river, but I think the line you took might be better.

Booooo cold-calling.

On the river, I'd favor betting and folding to a raise. The way you played it, the fold looks almost easy.

PF is fine, especially if the raiser is fairly tight. Threebetting is an option too. I think both are usually okay.

Bet the river, fold to a raise.

I'd make it 3-bets with AQs every time. I'll muck AQo more often than not.

I much prefer a three-bet.

Like I said in my post- I think the preflop 3-bet is best because it helps me play all the future streets.

FWIW I was prepared to call one bet on the flop but not two.
