I think I would have three bet the turn and bet out on the river. My guess would be that BB has AA or KK and he is putting Hero on a flush draw. He might have played j9 against a raise but I think you are way ahead most of the time.

Over almost 15K hands at $2/4, my aggression factor is only 2.05, so I'm looking for spots to increase it.

I am curious why you feel you need to increase your af?

As for this hand you are only behind JJ,99,66,J9,J6 on the flop and turn. You might consider bet/calling the river.

fyp (no JJ), and yeah he's behind only those hands. but what hands is he ahead of that play this way on the flop and turn? when he raises the turn i expect to lose this hand unimproved pretty often (not often enough to fold, but pretty often).

Because I'm losing, of course! No, seriously I'm down 3.5 big bets over like 15K hands, and I think I've been running kind of cold, but I'm also pretty sure I'm missing a lot of value bets. I especially miss them on the river I think.

As far as hands I'm ahead of/behind, I agree there really aren't many hands I'm behind, but how many hands am I ahead of that play it this way?

Edit: Er, what Miles said.

Unless 2/4 plays a lot differently from 1/2...
i don't see any except the craziest maniac capping this flop without 99 66 or a Jx - high cards (QQ KK AA) may cap but would think about the possibilty they ran into a set.

The turn should make them think you have a J - so they are raising to find out or because they have made a full house

I think you are WA / WB here and calling down is fine.

I may be guilty of a tainted response.
(Assuming that you won the hand from the tone of the post).

I sure like it better when posters cut off the action, say on the turn in this hand would be a good spot to do so.

I am also just suggesting that in analyzing your game you don't just look at stats and try to make them different.
You need to go deeper, much deeper.

I guess I have been running into quite a few dumbasses lately.

And looking back with no read a 3-bet or cap on any street is usually a very strong indicator at 2/4, especially followed up with a turn raise.
