Dallas limit games
For the love of God, does anyone know of any? I'm gonna need a defibrillator to play NL.

Re: Dallas limit games
Do this mean you know of some NL games? I'll be in town in early December to visit the family, and would love to get some live poker in...

Re: Dallas limit games
I get emails from 3rdpair. They advertise 3/6 limit in Dallas (or there abouts).
3P Entertainment [thirdpair@thirdpair.com] I know nothing about them other than what you can find on their website. I have been very hesitant to try out any of these card rooms because of the somewhat open legal question. I cannot get a clear answer on whether or not poker in a private club is a crime. It seems to me that Steeple chase was busted for gambling at RCC in Fort Worth a few years back. Let me know if you have any clarification on that. McHonts |

Re: Dallas limit games
it is most definately illegal if your home game takes any kind of payment in the form of a rake or entrance fee. Cops are probably not going to break the door down for this though. Your bigger concern is going to be robbers... think about it, you've got $thousands sitting in a house unprotected and you aren't gonna call the cops.

Re: Dallas limit games
true. But this is Texas. We are all armed ;-)
I do not know if these "private clubs" have a rake or not. I have not been because I do not want to risk getting arrested. A class 3 misdemeaner will get my concealed carry taken away. |
