Default PLO/8 $100 Hand

Anything Different I could have done here?

I thought maybe fold on the flop. GR8F had been spewing chips, and
David usually would raise to isolate when he had a hand.

WIth the made straight, and nut low draw on the turn, I felt I was right pushing all in here - yes?

Seat 1: MrCleve ($146.25 in chips)
Seat 8: GR8FIJIAN ($87.25 in chips)
Seat 10: DAVIDO XXX ($252.50 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
GR8FIJIAN posts blind ($1), DAVIDO XXX posts blind ($1).

PRE-FLOP
MrCleve bets $4, GR8FIJIAN calls $3, DAVIDO XXX calls $3.

FLOP [board cards QS,7H,8S ]
GR8FIJIAN checks, DAVIDO XXX bets $7, MrCleve calls $7, GR8FIJIAN bets $40, DAVIDO XXX calls $33, MrCleve calls $33.

TURN [board cards QS,7H,8S,9H ]
GR8FIJIAN bets $43.25 and is all-in, DAVIDO XXX calls $43.25, MrCleve bets $102.25 and is all-in, DAVIDO XXX calls $59.

RIVER [board cards QS,7H,8S,9H,AH ]

It looks fine to me. I would've pushed harder on the flop actually, especially if your Ace suited was in spades (you didn't say). Just a bad card on the riv.

No - Ace was in clubs.

If ace was spades It's an easy push with 3 nut draws (Low, Flush, Straight)

It looks good to me, just an unlucky river.

Ask yourself if you would even be posting this if the 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] had hit on the river.

I think this is a results oriented question.. you played it just fine. You have to get your money in three handed with the current nut high and a nut low draw.

My bigger question was really how I played on the streets leading up to the turn.

The turn pot raise was a no brainer - but the pot was now big, and 3 ways - and the guy with the flush draw had odds to call.

SO - I'm really most concerned about calling 2x on the flop.

Should I have raised after the first player bet? Should I have folded to the raise and call?

Cleve,

Its probably so marginal that its not worth sweating over. Its almost a pass on the flop, but you are getting good odds. So its almost a call too.

The factors are more a kind of meta factor consideration. Will these guys play and play and play? Are you by far the better player?

FWIW if the money is much deeper, or the flop is rainbow then of course it becomes a clear call.
