Default Common Home Game Mishap

playing holdem, the dealer puts up the flop without burning a card

do you guys make him burn the first card and explain to him the proper process of dealing?

the thing is he might suspect that you're only saying that cause you don't like the card, but if you don't say anything and then eplain it to him later, he might think you didn't tell him then just cause you liked that card

so do you guys just say nothing or pipe up?

This happens from time to time. Obviously once everyone has seen the flop, you shouldn't take away the first card and replace it with a new one. Just remind them to burn, and carry on. Technically, with or without a burm card, the first card on the flop is random, so it shouldn;t matter, and therefore that card should stay.

Soo..a reminder for next time, but the cards stay as they are.

I'd just remind him twice, then make him pick them up and shuffle them into the stub.
