Default \"M\" Questions (HOH2)

While reading about M in HOH2, I wondered why M is the blinds + ALL antes, and not just the blinds + YOUR ante? I mean, the point of M is to show ones chip situation compared to the blinds and antes with regards to how many rounds one has left.

???

M shows how many rounds you have left. If the blinds are 100-200 and the antes are 10 at a ten handed table, then the pot size is 400 to start. If you have 800, and your M is two, then you can only survive 2 rounds before the blinds and the antes put you all in.

At a 10-handed table, you'd have to ante 10 times per round. Counting blinds, in a complete round, you'd be putting in a total amount equal to the current size of the pot, which includes all of the antes, not just yours.

Ah yeah, I don't know what I was thinking, got 3 hours sleep last night. Somehow I misunderstood "round" in relation to M. All makes sense now =)
