MTT Strategy

What do you think is best strategy for the beggening of an MTT tourney with say (700 ppl)? Blinds at 10 15 and 15 30.

Yes, during the early stages of tournaments I limp hands, raise hands, and fold hands. Amazing!

Seriously, how you play SHOULD be table dependant (not for me as im still adonkey). Value bet into calling stations, play tight to a loose table yadda yadda yadda. I suggest if you are just asking this question to read Harrington on Hold Em and to maybe stick to just playing strong hands (top 10 or 15) in position (where you will be acting after your opponent post-flop).

2) If you are at a table with me, don't suck out my AA with 83o as it makes me sad.

based on sirio's play in the final table of the 2.5k bellagio tourney, i do my best to get dealt AQ or AA when an opponent puts all of his chips in with A9, and KK when an opponent gets allin with K6. if you keep practicing and focus hard while you're at the table, eventually you'll learn.

man i was wondering this same kind of thing too!! how do i play poker? how do i get 1st instead of 2nd??
