Re: Is Ben Roethlisberger the most overrated QB in the league?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] And he threw for 218 yards and 2 touchdowns, with a 158.3 QB rating, in a 34-7 win. [/ QUOTE ] A perfect passer rating is very good, I am not trying to downplay the fact that he had a 158.3 rating. But honestly, what is more impressive, attempting 35 passes and having a perfect rating, or throwing 11 passes with the same rating? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, but that's not the question. |

No because Brett Favre is. [/ QUOTE ] Everyone knows Brett Favre went insane 2 years ago and has been throwing passes at random players since then, hence the large amount of picks. |

Just a bump for a big win over the (Division leading) Bengs

You can go ahead and "overrate" him all the way to the Super Bowl.

Re: Is Ben Roethlisberger the most overrated QB in the league?
you guys seem to be arguing whether the guys are overrated or not on the fact of whether or not they win games. well, i have yet to see someone like joey harrington show up. obviously, the guy at the top of this list would have to be a consistant winner, or otherwise, he would just suck, and not be able to be overrated.
hopefully this makes sense. |

Re: Is Ben Roethlisberger the most overrated QB in the league?
But this is a paradox which almost nullfies the term "Overrated" because either they are a winner, or a loser. Since winners win, they can't be overrated, since losers suck, they are never overrated?
Ben's Stats Looking at this link, especially the NE game, says a lot. Look at his numbers in that game, when he plays poorly, the team plays poorly. WHen he DOESN'T play, the team plays poorly. His play, brilliant IMO. |

Re: Is Ben Roethlisberger the most overrated QB in the league?
[ QUOTE ]
Vick is. [/ QUOTE ] I probably agree here. Vick is "exciting" but it was evident in last years playoffs that the Falcons will never win a super bowl with Vick, unless he learns to pass the ball much much better. His legs can get him far but the complete lack of passing game just killed them. And I don't see how it's going to change. |

NE is 25th in yards/game Defense and 28th in pts/game defense. Ben hasn't even played vs. a top 12 defense yet. He has played very very well against bad opponents. He *does* get kudos for that. But there should be some caution in his praise. Josh |

Re: Is Ben Roethlisberger the most overrated QB in the league?
you don't comprehend what I'm trying to express here. regardless, everyone has bad games, whatever. But people are saying "Anyone can stand in there and hand the ball off" but the facts are, if ben plays poorly, the steelers play poorly.
The steelers have only lost 3 regular season games in the last 1 1/2 seasons, so, ben seems to be playing quite well, no? |

Re: Is Ben Roethlisberger the most overrated QB in the league?
After his latest performance, I'd have to say Dilfer is way over rated.
