Default Easy fold?

Just want to make sure im not playing too weak. This is a clear fold right? MP2 was a little tricky so there could be an argument for calling but being out of position i figured it was just useless to call.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) converter

saw flop|<font color="C00000">saw showdown</font>

UTG+1 ($22.75)
MP1 ($86.94)
MP2 ($53.40)
MP3 ($31.25)
CO ($10.25)
Button ($16.05)
Hero ($52.30)
BB ($20.25)
UTG ($53.15)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.50, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls $0.50, MP2 calls $0.50, MP3 calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50, <font color="CC3333">Button raises to $1</font>, Hero calls $0.75, BB folds, UTG calls $0.50, MP1 calls $0.50, MP2 calls $0.50, MP3 calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50.

Flop: ($7.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(7 players)</font>
Hero checks, UTG checks, MP1 checks, <font color="CC3333">MP2 bets $7.15</font>, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, Hero folds, UTG folds, MP1 folds.

Final Pot: $14.65
<font color="green">Main Pot: $7.50, won by MP2.</font>
<font color="green">Pot 2: $7.15, returned to MP2.</font>

I'd bet out and fold to a substantial raise.

I would've bet the flop, and if raised lay it down.

How much would you recommend betting on this type of flop.. .around pot? What happens if im called. Do i continue firing out of position?

if this were a more reasonable pot, i'd bet/fold to a raise. here there are 7 people seeing the flop, so it's not too unreasonable that someone could have a 5. i like the line of check/fold.

one reason i don't like betting out here is that you won't know what to do if you're called. it's very common for someone to smoothcall here with a 5, but a call could also mean 98, 67 (a gutshot), 33 (underpair), etc., and you won't know where you stand.

Exactly! I could easily get trapped in this hand....
