Blumper,

Its hard to put him on anything other than a 3 flush. I like how you played the hand, and I call the 3 bet on the river the way you did.

What did your pattern map tell you he had?

My 1st reaction is to raise 6th. However, calling is better.

I'd cap the river.

I don't think he's got a 6 in the hole. And he can't be rolled (because 2 Ts are dead). That means he's pretty easy to put on a flush you beat, or a high 2 pair (that you probably beat because he's overplayed his hand so far if that is what he has)

Yes, I think you missed a cap.

I must have been at the table during this hand but cant recall what happened. Anyway, cap the river. His cards are dead as can be. If he shows you a boat so be it. In close scenarios I always cap if it closes the action at 4 bets, and thus the possibility of getting reraised again. The rest of the streets besides the river look standard to me. I'm lucky I ran well in hold'em today, that particular stud game sucked. I cant believe logger got up 3K with that play. At least Beer dropped by to donate a little, that helped. Post that beat you fish.

Yeah I guess this thread is not too interesting. This post can be ended now.

I should have capped the river and I don't think it's close anymore (especially note that I have the A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]). At the time I thought the fifth street 3-bet was a power move; now I think, "duh."

3rd:There's a very reasonable chance that seats 2,3,& 8 will fold even if you don't complete(turns out #2 called anyway),so completing probably doesn't damage your flush draw odds.If you had another high card to go with your A,you wouldn't care if you did narrow the field. As it is,it's probably still ok if you lose a player.(Too wordy, sorry.)Anyway, good raise.

The third street completion here is fairly standard for me here. If I was the first one in I'd almost surely limp in, but I like completing here for deception. If the only time I completed with a 6 up was with like (A6)6 or (QQ)6 I'd almost surely get no action at these tight tables. Moreover, during the rest of the hand I was basically trying to represent tripped up pocket aces. Which is another reason I think the river action is still semi-interesting if you believe villain is making any sort of effort in hand-reading. However, I think he's probably only thinking on level 1.

I think you probably need to cap the river considering all the 10s are dead and a 6 is dead too. I think the way this hand played, that your opponent probably started with a 3 flush with specifically the 2 of clubs in the hole. I think he check-raised with a pair and 4 flush, and then backed down because you re-raised. Now he bet back into you because he has 6s and 2s with the 4 flush. On the river I put him on either a flush smaller than yours, or 6s or 2s full. Clearly the flush is a little more likely so you cap.

Very nice analysis frappe. He indeed had the 6s and 2s on sixth street.

P.S. Please stay away from my tables.
