Seems like a pretty standard raise to me. Even if he has you beat,(He probably doesn't) the pot is pretty big and you should protect your hand.

Raise the flop and try to get the BB to fold out.

Your opponent sounds like he tries to be tricky, so I am thinking that his flop bet is not a reliable indicator that he has something here. If he had AA/KK, he'd probably become passive and try to c/r you on the turn or river. Because of this, I would consider calling him down if he 3-bets the flop. If he has trash, let him bluff some more. If he actually has something, then you minimize your loss.
