Default StarSpy Beta Testers Needed

I've completed StarSpy 2.0 (beta) and need some kind people to abuse it for a few hours to see if any bugs shake loose.

The changes I've made in 2.0:

--Automated HH grabbing. No more manually scrolling through the list. Just turn it on, let it run, and turn it off when you're done.
--Set Timer option for automated grabbing. Set it to grab every 1 to 120 minutes.
--Improved automatic closed-table message handler. Those annoying "Table has been closed" popups will be shut down by StarSpy, and the captured table list will be updated accordingly.
--Save Log/Open Log. StarSpy logs all important functions, and you can now choose to save this data to file for later use, if you need it.
--Show/Hide Captured Table. In case you want to play a table you are mining, you can select it from the captured table list and make it visible. When you are finished you can either hide it again or simply close it and StarSpy will remove it from the list.
--Smaller HH text files. Each file will not exceed 250 hand histories. This makes importing into PT much easier.

If you're interested, please shoot me a PM or an email (starspy AT cox DOT net) letting me know and I'll get back to you later tonight.

Thanks, everyone!

Thanks to all who helped with testing!

I've released StarSpy v2.0. You can access the setup file and instructions here:

StarSpy Home Page

Please uninstall any existing copy of StarSpy before installing the latest build. Also, Ive used a new installer program, so if anyone has any problems installing whatsoever please let me know.

Barring any major bugs this will be the last update for a long while, possibly ever. I had seriously considered expanding StarSpy into a much bigger application, but I'm really happy leaving it as a free PokerTracker addon. Besides, I get the feeling PokerAce's HUD is going to tear up Stars in a big way

Thanks again, and enjoy!

Jay

i know its been said, but thanks. just found that 2.0 had been released on my own, cause i hadn't heard any talk about it recently. i guess i just assumed that u would be making the release statment in its own thread. didn't think to look here. only found it when i did a quick search to see if anyone had mentioned the release and i missed it.

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. Not only did I hide my release announcement inside another thread, but I did it on a holiday weekend. Me smart!

Anyhoo, I hope you like the new version. Let me know if you have any problems. Barring any major flaws I'm not planning on updating StarSpy again for a long while; I'm taking some time off to learn Java & C++

You can open an unlimited amount of tables on PS right? What's the most you've done?

Unlimited? Unfortunately, no. As others have mentioned, I've also gotten a maximum of 44 tables captured before getting PokerStars' low resources error message. I wish users _could_ capture more than that, but compared to Party & skins 44 tables looks pretty good

I'm having trouble using this. This is the process I've used:

Set up HH directory.
Set HH size.

Open a ton of tables on Stars.
Capture all the tables.
Start Grabbing Hand Histories.

Is this right?

Specifically, what problem(s) are you having?

I've found it best to do this:

Set up HH directory (if not already set)
Set Number of Hands (if not already set)
Actions > Capture Tables
Open a ton of tables on Stars
Actions > Stop Capturing Tables
Actions > Grab Hand Histories

It keeps saying "StarSpy cannot detect PokerStars" for some reason
