Default I go for overcalls again

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
2 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, Hero calls, 1 fold, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (6 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB bets, BB folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, Hero raises, SB calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls.

Turn: (7 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, MP2 checks, MP3 checks, Hero checks.

River: (7 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB bets, MP2 calls, MP3 raises, Hero calls, SB calls, MP2 calls.

Final Pot: 15 BB

I like this hand, but I also like overcalls maybe too much. Anyone play differently?

I like. It also sucks to 3-bet, fold SB & MP2, and get capped by MP3 holding a backdoor flush.

The t-r clubs make a flush potential and there was a raiser. I like the call, with fewer players a raise might be in order.

Nice river play, still getting lots of value from your straight (if ahead) since sb and MP2 aren't folding for one more here, and you don't risk as much when behind a flush. This play is 2+2 book quiz section worthy

I like your play throughout.

But I do have a side question. Suppose Hero had A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Do you check turn as Hero or bet?
