Default 77 Ways To Get The Edge

Has anyone here reviewed or bought the book, "77 ways to get the edge in casino poker".
It deals with concepts and then gives an example to its application.
Theres a couple of pretty good reviews at Amazon.ca. but would like to hear opinions from the better minds here at 2 + 2.
the authors are; Fred Renzey & Frank Scoblete.

Frank Scoblete is either a halfwit or a con man. His books are total garbage.

Very good book. I like it a lot. Covers all of the popular poker games and general theory .Frank Scoblete did not write the book. Fred Renzey, hi -stake Poker and Black Jack player from Chicago is the only author. Foreword by Frank Scoblete. Get it .I did improve my Hi/lo stud game by big margin after reading this book.

Well, I guess there is a market for this stuff.

Scoblete also sells a sure-fire winning craps system, as well as one for bacarrat. His video poker book is so flawed I wouldn't wish it on someone I didn't like.

Good luck, Jim, and, uhh, stick to very low limits until you learn to discern "real" gambling books from huckster scams.

I received a review copy of this book. A complete review of
it will appear in an upcoming issue of Poker Player, I expect.

It covers several games, so overall the advice is thin, but
what's there isn't bad, IMHO. If you want a general intro
to several games, it's not bad. If you want detailed
advice on any specific game, you can do better elsewhere.

Hi Jim!

I own that one, and recommend it!

It's going to get reread by me, and my head is cloudly on it at the moment, I have since read at least 6 other books on the subject.

It was all of 5 feet from me so here's the 9 chapter headings if they help ya any:

1 Poker is a 'Skill' Game

2 Luck and Streaks in Poker

3 The Poker Sense of Betting

4 Pot Odds

5 7 card stud

6 Texas Hold'em

7 7 stud Hi/Lo-8 or Better

8 Omaha Hi/Lo-8 or Better

9 Things You Can't Read In A Book

Total pages including index at the end: 218

Worth the $14.95 I paid? sure, and I bought it from Gambler's General Store in Vegas if wondering after checking out dozens of the books there...

Frank Scoblete only wrote the FORWARD to this, rest is all Fred Renzey and it's an easy read.
