Re: huge odds, but no outs, no hand.. or so i thought
Your 3 Ace outs are likely to be dominated, someone might already have AK, given the action preflop - so I would fold.
By the way, I think it was really poor that you saw the flop with A8s for 4 bets. Cold calling an UTG raise with A8s can never be right IMO. |

Re: huge odds, but no outs, no hand.. or so i thought
This is a fold preflop and I get the feeling you are posting this hand only because you would have won it? The flop here is an easy fold and you are likely to be drawing dead a ton of times. This time, you would get lucky with the cards.

i would have folded preflop, villain was raising every other hand. i didn't want to get into detail, so i just asked about the flop part.
where is the hand convertor? |

We like detail. We suggest you include any important information in your initial post. |

Given your read on villian I think 3betting preflop is fine, and folding is fine. Coldcalling is awful.

I'll restress that cold calling an UTG raise with A8s can NEVER be correct. A8 is not a good hand. I would guess that 9 times out of 10 in a pot like this, you aren't even good on the turn. Meaning that you'd have to call a bet on the flop with the intention of getting 2 running cards to sometimes win, and sometimes split. |
